In my afterschool I have a teacher named Mr. Brendan. He is a creative writing teacher who assigns unique topics. One of the topics he gave me is called “Swimming with a Shark.” In this essay I wrote about whether I would swim with a great white shark for one million dollars or not. The topic makes you think hard about what you would do in the situation.
At the time we got the topic the class started to brainstorm about the choices. There were 6 classmates who were Anthony, Elizabeth, Vanessa, Daniel, James, and me. Only Daniel said that he would choose to do it. The rest of us said no to it. Since most of us said no we get to brainstorm together. I was with Anthony and Elizabeth, Vanessa, and James are working together. only Daniel was working alone.
A few minutes passed and Mr. Brendan wants us to share our ideas. The ideas we come up is that we have a long time to live; the money is not worth it and many more. Daniel’s idea is that if there is any money problem the bet should be taken. The teacher accepted them all and class ended just then. After that we started to work on the essay.
After the essays were done we waited until next Thursday where class started. Mr. Brendan came in and made us read out the essay we wrote. I was up first to read it and I was nervous about it. As I began to read it I gained more confidence about reading my essay. As soon as I was finished, Mr. Brendan gave me on what he thinks about the essay. He said that it was very good and I should keep this type of work up.He gives it a ninety-five percent on the essay.
I was happy on my grades because he was a strict grader and all I can get before was an eighty average. The high grade he gave me made me happy and was an accomplishment to me. I would never get a better grade like this so I should cherish the grade.
