This world was created by an unknown force. Despite that, I believe mankind, ourselves, were created by science. I do not know how all these animals we see came to life out of nowhere, but they may have been created by molecules. There is this process in science called evolution. Everything changes, from monkeys to mankind. People also think dinosaurs have evolved into birds because of their distinct features. Therefore, I believe mankind was not made by God, but through evolution, a process in science.
There is a lot to argue about if God created this world and mankind. We do not know how God was created, he was just there. God made all the natural resources we see today, but why only Earth? If God was a spirit, wouldn’t he be able to make life on other planets, too? I believe this is because there is no God. Instead, science made Earth. Even though there are many questions still not answered by scientists, we know for a fact mankind was made through the process of evolution.
As this planet was created with various types of animals and organisms, problems occurred. Climate changes, predators, and natural disasters occurred. How did this lead to the evolution of monkeys? Well, first of all, evolution is the change of any living thing. I think monkeys evolved because of all these factors.
These climate changes, predators, and natural disasters provoked monkeys to adapt.Monkeys had to live in harsh climates, evolving into humans to make clothes. Evolution occurs from adaptation. Monkeys easily avoid predators. That is the distinct feature we have. We can co-exist with animals, avoiding them and living with our own kind. Also, the natural disasters made monkeys into mankind. We had to make houses to protect us from them.
This is how I believed science created humans/mankind. The fact is that evolution is possible. We were made because of adaptation. Even though I don’t know how the climate changes, how there are predators, and how natural disasters occur, they just happen. That’s why monkeys had to evolve, to survive all this. Even though they couldn’t evolve enough to make us complete and independent, we are more perfect than before. Science is what I believe made mankind.

One time my dad didn’t give me Internet. It was just last weekend. It was so depressing, since I couldn’t do anything, because all I do is play, and that requires Internet. My dad doesn’t even let me try to fix the Internet myself, he said we waste too much money on electricity. Electricity isn’t really that expensive though, it’s just my dad probably thought the bill for the whole house is only for electricity.
Like seriously, electricity is only like 60 dollars per month. The money we spend most on is water and gas. Do people not realize this? Unless they pay for rent, they should know we use water and gas a lot more. Water we use for sinks, bathtubs, and laundry machines.
Sinks we waste a ton of water since we don’t turn off the faucet fast enough. Some people take really long to shower, too. We waste more money on water than electricity. Why can’t I play on my computer? I know it ruins my eyesight and everything, but at least I have an average person’s eyesight.
I kept thinking about the bills and my eyesight that I calmed down. My dad came back and I was able to play again! I felt better and played on my computer until 12 am.
This is a moment in my life where I felt really depressed. Internet is like everything to me. All I do is go on the Internet in the first place. Also, it’s easy to make electricity.

Dear Mom,
I don’t like the way you do things in our house. Even though you are allowed to do what you want to do, it’s disgusting. Every single day, you make the whole kitchen floor dirty, and I have to clean it. You only clean the floor on the weekends, but guess what? You don’t even clean the kitchen. It’s like you know it’s either my job to clean your mess, or you already know the kitchen is dirty because of you. It’s still appreciated that you clean the other rooms, but do you really clean them? I actually look at how you clean, and it’s not even called cleaning. You’re just swishing the sweeper around, and not even gathering up the mess. Also, when I clean the kitchen, I see something very long and thin; hair. It’s unusual though, how does hair fall down? I admit girls are different by using a hair dryer, but your hair doesn’t dry for some reason. I think I know the answer! Isn’t hair really, really soggy after not drying your hair from taking a shower? That happens to you! I think everyday you go into the kitchen your hair is so soggy more than 20 pieces of your hair falls down! Also, when you cook, you eat peanuts! Why would you eat peanuts while cooking? I know why though, because you are plotting some kind of scheme! With more peanuts, you make me clean more! Also, you watch on the IPad while cooking. You’re trying to kill yourself, aren’t you? With being distracted from the IPad, you drop even more food! You try to make me clean even more! This happens in my room, too! You just walk in my room, with food you dropped stuck on your feet! How bizarre is that! You get my attention so much, but how can I not get your attention? The only thing that works is turning off the Internet, but guess what? You say you are going to kill me! Why do you rage so much?!! Sometimes, I go into the living room to watch the TV. I can’t even get to the couch, because guess what? I can feel PEANUT crumbs on the floor! You don’t even care about your eating and cooking habits! I have become your slave and cleaner, and I don’t want to become even more things! My dad even has to clean the floor because you say you’re too old! Guess what, he bends down and he’s older than you! You are the complete opposite of my ideal parent. I want you to clean after your own mess, not make me clean it for you. Also, I want you to be calm and composed, you rage too much! That’s all I wish for, except you can’t even become that!

I come home from work stressed out. As I lay down on the couch, the door opens. My son comes in and says, “Hi, Dad.” He goes to his room and turns on his computer. I rest for 6 hours from 3 to 9 pm. When I wake up and stretch my arms, I look in my son’s room and my son was still playing on his computer. I was surprised that he was still playing on his computer, because he had homework everyday.
How was he supposed to do his homework this late at 9 and finish before school? I tell my son, “Joe, aren’t you tired from playing computer?” Joe said,” Nope, this game is so fun that I can’t stop.” Then the phone rang and I picked it up. “Hello?” I asked. Joe’s English teacher replied,” Hello, Joe’s dad, I have something important to discuss with you about Joe.” The English teacher talked to me about Joe not doing his homework and disrupting the class by having to talk to the teacher everyday.
I raise my eyes suprisingly, because I tell the teacher that Joe is playing on his computer right now. The teacher replies,” This is maybe the problem to why Joe is not doing his homework. If he doesn’t stop now I will have to tell the principal to give the grades over to you earlier for every subject. Right now, Joe has a 70 for English.” I respond by saying,” I will fix this problem immediately, thank you for telling me how Joe is doing.” I hang up and press the power button on my laptop.
I log in and type 192.168.1.1 on the address bar in Google Chrome. I access my wireless network and press wireless and set up a password. Joe yelled,” Dad, there’s no Internet, I can’t play my game.” “Is that true, Joe, but you should see the time, it’s time for you to do your homework.” It was 9:30 and Joe didn’t care, saying he’ll do his homework later after he plays his game a little more after the Internet comes back.” I’m afraid you won’t have Internet Joe, until you start doing your homework.” Joe screamed and started to do his homework.
By 10:45 Joe finished and said,” There, now can I play?” “Yes Joe, but you better remember to do your homework everyday,okay?” I replied. Joe nodded and went off to playing his game, did his homework everyday, not being a troublemaker in school, and being carefree about living his life.

Just about everyday I go to school, I see my 7th grade classmate wearing fancy clothes. I’m not going to mention her name, but she always comes to class with shoes that would cost more than 100 dollars. It would be something like Jordan sneakers or shoes for special occasions. Her clothes would be really up to date, like she bought clothes everyday wearing the newest fashion. She would stand out so much with the gold earrings, golod necklace, and much more. She thinks she’s rich just by wearing all those expensive clothing, but I’m rich in my own way.
I have people to support me, who are my friends. They make me feel not alone, and are always there for me. When I need them, they come for me. The same goes for if they need me. We support each other and help each other to get where we are at, together. Instead of having money, friends are much better, because we can play together, anywhere.
Also, I have people who love and care for me, my family. They help me when I am hurt. My sister plays with me when I’m bored. My mother cooks my favorite food everyday. My dad stays awake every night, protecting me and the rest of the family. He stays awake until 1 am., when everyone is asleep, safe and sound.
Many people are there for me to listen to my feelings. I tell my sister what I’ve been throught in school. In times of need for someone to talk to, there’s not just my family and friends, but also people like my guidance counselor. He hears me out and suggests what is best for me to go on in my life. My teachers hear my problems in their classes and try to help me improve on them.
I am glad there are so many people here in this world for me. They make me rich with feelings, not with money, glory, and power. They make me feel happiness when playing with them. They make me feel sadness when I need to improve on subjects. Confusion comes when I don’t remember what I need to do in life. The feeling of being loved and cared for comes when my family protects me and comes to me. I believe this is what makes me rich, not with money, but with feelings. I hope the girl in my class realizes that, because even though she is proud of all the shiny and expensive things she wears, she is not rich.

When I got a blackout from Hurricane Sandy, I didn’t know what to do. There was no electricity, and everything I usually did involved electricity. That was when I knew I had to do things people did in the old times, because I was so bored. I had cards, candles, and board games.
I would first play cards with my family while candles would be lit. It would be fun because I hadn’t played played with cards for a long time. There’s all sorts of games concerning cards, like Poker and Spit. I would play these games because it would be fun to see people lose and it would be challenging to beat my family, especially when my parents played with cards a lot since they were little. Also, they have different versions of what they played, like Poker. Their type of Poker involves starting with a 7 of diamond. Then you can either place another 7 or continue up or down the 7 of diamond.
The board games my family could play during a blackout would be chess or checkers. Checkers is easy because all you have to do is kill the opposing side. Chess on the other hand, is very difficult. You have to make a way to make the opposing side’s king surrounded by 2 of your pieces, which is considered a checkmate. I never won against the CPU in my computer because it was extremely hard for me to come up with a plan. Nevertheless, I think chess is very challenging and fun to play during a blackout.
There’s basically nothing else to do after playing, so the best thing to do is get a good night’s sleep. What is better than to have the darkest sight in front of your eyes while there is no sound because of no one is using electricity? It would be so easy to sleep so that I could get ready for tomorrow, which is good for my brain to function the next day. After being so tired from playing olden games for so long, it is good to sleep.
These activities are what I would do when there would be a black out. When I did have a blackout, I did two of these things, play cards and sleep. It was surprising how they entertained me through the blackout because I never experienced this before. Playing cards are so much fun because there are so many games to play with them. Playing board games like chess is extremely challenging because of making a plan to checkmate the opponent. Lastly, it would be fun having a good dream after doing all this.
